Happy Holiday Eggnog

No Christmas is complete without eggnog!

Ingredients:
12 egg yolks
4 cups milk
2 1/2 cups light rum
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
5 whole cloves
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 cups light cream

Directions:
1.Combine milk, cloves, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
2. Slowly bring milk mixture to a boil.
3. In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar. Wisk together until fluffy.
4. Whisk hot milk mixture slowly into the eggs. Pour mixture into a saucepan.
5. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 minutes, or until thick. DO NOT allow mixture to boil.
6. Strain to remove cloves, and let cool for about an hour.
7. Stir in rum, cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and nutmeg.
8. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
